George Rose – Hyper Vista – 19/05/23 – Exhibition
Strap yourself in for HYPER VISTA, an immersive exhibition by award winning Melbourne-based artist George Rose at KSR Gallery.
Whether in the studio or traveling the globe painting her beautiful large-scale murals, Rose and hard work go hand in hand. She hasn’t looked back since moving away from her formal design training several years ago. Now fully focused on her multidisciplinary art practice, using her love of colour, gradients and type to brighten the walls of the world.
We’re psyched to see her new body of work following the success of her 2022 Catalogue CHROMA.
“HYPER VISTA features custom-shaped arc canvases that add a unique dimension, expanding the recurring motif beyond the brushstrokes, resulting in a body of work that speaks to the architecture of its surroundings. This uplifting shape, often associated with stained glass windows, bridges, and entrance ways, creates a strong compositional structure within each artwork. The arc draws the viewer in to witness colourful moments compartmentalised by Rose’s brushstrokes.”

Colour, gestural mark-making, and repetition blend seamlessly to create captivating moments of beauty in each artwork, culminating in an instantly iconic visual style.
